UP govt prevent opposition leaders to protest against farmers' killing 

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Government has cracked down the opposition leaders of Uttar Pradesh for protesting against the killing of four farmers in violence on Sunday. 

Uttar Pradesh police have not allowed Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, BSP leader Satishchandra Mishra, AAP leader Sanjay Singh, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister SS Randhawa were not allowed to protest or enter Uttar Pradesh.

Akhilesh Yadav has been detained by the police from outside his residence in Lucknow and stopped him from visiting Lakhimpur Kheri district to visit farmers' houses. 

Condemning the police action of not allowing him to protest outside his residence, he lambasted the UP government stating “ In British regime, they did not commit such atrocities against the freedom fighters as much as the BJP government is doing on the farmers. Mr. Akhilesh urged that the Minister of State for Home and the Deputy Chief Minister should resign immediately, Rs. 2 crores should be given to the farmers who were killed in the violence. 

Meanwhile, BSP leader Sathish Chandra Mishra was house arrest after he has the plan to move to Lakhimpur Kheri to visit the deceased farmers' family. 

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister S.S. Randhawa were not allowed to land in Lucknow, Congress said. 

AAP leader Sanjay Singh has not been allowed to meet family members of the farmers who were killed in violence on Sunday. 

Earlier this morning Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had an altercation with UP police for preventing her to meet deceased family members. Later police have detained her and kept her in a guest house near Sitapur. 

Later speaking to NDTV, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra alleged that police have manhandled her and not allowed her to meet the farmers family.
