UPTET 2021 exam cancelled due to paper leak
The state government will come up with another date of examination.
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021 examination has been cancelled following information of paper leak on Sunday.
The UPTET Examination in Uttar Pradesh was taking place after a gap of two years, and more than 15 lakh candidates were to appear in the examination. UPTET paper 1 was supposed to be conducted from 10 AM to 12:30 PM for teachers for classes 1 to 5.
Whereas exam for paper 2 for the eligibility of teachers for Classes 6 to 8 was to be conducted from 2:30 PM to 5 PM on Sunday.
The state government will come up with another date of examination.
"UPTET 2021 examination scheduled to be held today stands cancelled due to alleged paper leak Dozens of suspects detained by STF in the paper leak case, the investigation is on. Uttar Pradesh government will conduct the exam again within a month", Prashant Kumar, ADG, Law and Order told news agency ANI.
Dr Satish Dwivedi, Basic Education Minister, said that the UP government would conduct the exam again within a month. Investigation to be conducted by UP STF.
