Vidya Balan, Ekta,Shobha Kapoor on Oscar Academy's ‘Class of 2021’
New Delhi: Actress Vidya Balan and TV czarina Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor are on the new list of invitees of the Academy's "Class Of 2021."
They are among the 395 new members from across 50 countries, who have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences this year.
The Academy recognized Vidya Balan for her known films such as the 2012 mystery thriller Kahaani and the 2017 family drama Tumhari Sulu.
Ekta Kapoor has been recognized for producing Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer 'Dream Girl' and underworld saga 'Once upon a Time in Mumbai'.
The Academy recognized Ekta's mother Shobha Kapoor for producing 'Udta Punjab' and 'The Dirty Picture'. 'Udta Punjab' is a 2016 Indian black comedy crime drama film co-written and directed by Abhishek Chaubey.
