A wrestler and her brother were shot dead and their mother was hospitalised after being shot at in Sonipat on Wednesday.

SP Sonipat Rahul Sharma says, "This Nisha Dahiya (shot dead) and medalist wrestler Nisha Dahiya are two different people. The medalist wrestler belongs to Panipat and is at an event now".
"They (deceased) were siblings from Halalpur village. Formal statement awaited, but prima facie it was found that the girl used to come to this academy for practice; she and her brother were shot dead by coach and his friends. Their mother is hospitalised at PGI Rohtak", SP Sonipat R Sharma told news agency ANI.

Dayanand Dahiya, the deceased wrestler Nisha's father, said his daughter was harassed by the killers for money.
"They were harassing her (Nisha). She had told her mother about it. I had warned my daughter about the academy, but she was brainwashed by them (accused). They were continuously demanding money for different reasons", he said.
Police announces Rs 1 lakh reward for information on the main accused Pawan, the coach.
