300 Sikhs safe in Afghanistan gurudwara
New Delhi: Around 300 Sikhs who are in the gurudwara premises in Taliban controlled Afghanistan are said to be safe on Saturday.
Manjinder S Sirsa, President, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, denied the report of kidnapping the Sikhs. Sirsa said, "No incident like kidnapping has occurred with them. Any report regarding such an incident is false".
Also, Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Entrepreneur & Philanthropist, took to Twitter to report safety of the Sikhs. "72 Afghan Sikhs reach back safely at Gurdwara Karte Parwan after waiting for over 12 hours at Kabul Airport. All 285 afghan Sikhs and Hindus are safe".

Soon after capturing Kabul, Taliban assured safety of Sikhs and Hindus stranded in Afghanistan. Also, spokesperson of the Taliban, shared a video statement by the head of a Kabul gurudwara confirming their safety.
The Taliban's return to power in Afghanistan after 20 years has triggered and escalated a humanitarian crisis that started when the United States began pulling out its troops in May.
Early this week, Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft that took off from Kabul with more than 120 Indian officials on board landed in Gujarat’s Jamnagar. The Government of India had decided to evacuate Ambassador in Kabul and his Indian staff immediately from Afghanistan. On arrival, the Indian Ambassador to Afghanistan, Rudrendra Tandon, thanked IAF for evacuating Indians under challenging conditions.
