5 killed, 25 injured as bus overturns in Tumkur district
Tumkur: At least fivepeople were killed and more than 25 critically injured, including students, as a bus overturned near Pavagada in Tumkur district on Saturday.
District Health Officer, Nagendrappa stated that five people, including a student identified as Dadu (18), have succumbed to injuries in the accident.
The driver lost control near Palavalli lake on the way to Pawagada town in Tumkuru district.
According to reports, over 100 people were travelling by bus. Around 40 were said to be seated on the top of the bus.
Injured people, most of them are students, have been admitted to Pawagada hospital. Tumkur SP Rahul Kumar Shahapurwad visited the accident spot.
