ACB seizes undisclosed wealth from ‘corrupt’ govt officials
Bengaluru: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths have continued raid against corrupt government officials, recovered over 8 kg gold biscuits and 1.5 kg gold ornaments from T. Rudreshappa, joint director of the agriculture department in Tanigere of Chennagiri taluk.
ACB has recovered a vast amount of undisclosed assets from Shantagouda Biradar, junior Engineer in the PWD department at Jawargi of Kalaburgi district.
Raids have been continued at different parts of Jawargi and Kalaburgi, as of now, ACB has found that Mr. Shantagouda Biradar has 2 houses at Kalaburgi, one site in Bengaluru, three luxury cars of different companies, one two-wheeler, one school bus, 2 tractors, Rs. 54,50,000, ten-gram gold, 36 acres of agricultural land and more than Rs. 15 lakhs worth household goods from tainted PWD engineer.
ACB has recovered Rs. 40 lakh cash from L.C. Nagaraju, KAS officer. Gold biscuits were recovered from Motor vehicle Inspector, Sadashiva Maralingannanavar. Gold and silver ornaments were recovered from Maryanna.
Mr. Rurdershappa has assumed undisclosed assets in Shivamogga, Bengaluru and Tanigere, ACB is a continued search operation at his house in Shivamogga, where it has found 8 kg of gold biscuits. ACB has also recovered Rs. 15 lakh cash from his house, besides it has also recovered gold ornaments worth of worth one crore rupees.
Mr. Rudreshappa is having undisclosed assets in Chennagiri taluk, he owned 8 acres of agricultural land in Chennagiri taluk.
Mr. Shantagouda Biradar, presently in judicial custody of ACB has admitted to the hospital soon after ACB took him to custody. He has been admitted to Gulbarga Institution of Medical Science.
ACB court has ordered Shantagouda Biradar for 14 days of judicial custody, now he has been shifted to jail ward in the hospital.
