Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Leela Bhansali walk red carpet at Berlin International Film Festival
Gangubai Kathiawadi is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical crime drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and produced by Jayantilal Gada and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Berlin: Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Alia Bhatt and Dr Jayantilal Gada walked the red carpet for the World Premiere of 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' at the prestigious 72nd Berlin International Film Festival.
The film was premiered worldwide in Berlinale Speciale Gala Section at 72nd Berlin International Film Festival to be held from 10 to 20 February 2022.
Gangubai Kathiawadi is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical crime drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and produced by Jayantilal Gada and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
The film stars Alia Bhatt while Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari and Seema Pahwa play pivotal roles; Ajay Devgn featured in an extended cameo appearance. The film is set to release in Hindi and dubbed the Telugu language.
Before the release, the movie is facing legal trouble from the members of Gangubai. They demanded a stay order on the film, claiming nobody will like to see their mother portrayed as a "prostitute." They said she was a social worker, who fought for the rights of sex workers.
