Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has come home after spending nearly one month in Arthur road jail in a cruise ship drug case.
Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has come home after spending nearly one month in Arthur road jail in a cruise ship drug case.
Bombay high court has granted bail to Aryan Khan on Thursday. After getting a certified copy of the judgement on Friday, the jail authorities have released him today. Since the bail order has not reached before closing hours of jail timing on Friday, he has been released today. Though he gets bail on Thursday, Mr. Khan spent two more days in jail.
Since morning, fans have been crowding outside Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat home with "Welcome Home, Aryan" posters. Earlier, the megastar's cavalcade left for the Arthur Road Jail.
Mukul Rohatgi, former Attorney General of India, fought for Aryan Khan's bail in the High Court for three days, NDTV reported.
Actor Juhi Chawla, Shah Rukh Khan's co-star in the early days of his film career, signed the ₹ 1 lakh bail bond for Aryan Khan. That step was necessary for the Mumbai sessions court to sign the release papers that were to be sent directly to the prison.
The Bombay High Court has listed 14 conditions for his bail - Aryan Khan cannot leave Mumbai without informing the police and has to appear before the agency every Friday.
Narcotic Control Bureau has arrested him on October 2, after NCB raided Goa bound Cruise, where Khan was invited for rave party. There was no drug found, no consumption, no drug trafficking, he was arrested only based on Whatsapp chats with fried two years ago.
