Biden warns of strong response from NATO if Russia uses chemical weapons
Biden, who is holding a meeting with the leaders of NATO members, was expected to make strong announcements on the Ukraine war.
Brussels: US President Joe Biden said NATO will respond if Russian President Vladimir Putin use chemical weapon on Ukraine. Sending a clear message to Russia Biden said NATO will not remain as a mute spectator if the former uses chemical weapons.
"We will respond if he uses it. The nature of the response would depend on the nature of the use," Biden said after a NATO summit in Brussels. Participating in the meeting with G-7 nations in Brussels, Biden said that Russia will face consequences in case of using chemical weapons.

President is also reported to be looking for partners at a global level in order to put pressure on Russia. He held discussions with the leaders of NATO, the European Union and the G7 before visiting Poland.
The visit of Biden has gained significance amid the possibility of Russia using chemical weapons against Ukraine.
President Putin has not denied the reports of his country using nuclear weapons against Ukraine.
Russia, despite facing anguish from the world community including its own party leaders for invading Ukraine, has not shown any sign of ending the war.
