BJP to launch campaign in Uttarakhand on Feb 1
Elections will be held in Uttarakhand on 14 February 2022 to elect 70 members of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly.
New Delhi: Ruling BJP launch its mega election campaign in Uttarakhand on February 1 on Tuesday in line with Election Commission's guidelines. The campaign will begin with CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Manohar Lal Khattar and Jai Ram Thakur to address rallies of 500 people.
Elections will be held in Uttarakhand on 14 February 2022 to elect 70 members of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. The votes will be counted and the results will be declared on 10 March 2022. The total strength of the assembly is 70 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA).
Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister and BJP's Uttarakhand election in charge said, "BJP will launch its mega election campaign in Uttarakhand on February 1. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar and Himachal Pradesh CM Jai Ram Thakur will address rallies of 500 people on that day."
"LED TVs will be set up at 10-15 places in all 70 constituencies for people to listen to the leaders' address... Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP chief JP Nadda will also campaign in the state", said Joshi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is yet to finalize the time for the campaign. The Election Commission's guidelines are expected to be released tomorrow.
