BSY no need 'green signal' for state tour- Arun Singh
Davangere: Karnataka BJP in-charge, Arun Singh, asserted that former Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa need not take permission from party leadership to embark state tour.
Mr. Singh is in the city to attend the BJP state executive meeting, told reporters that if Mr. Yediyurappa desires to embark state to strengthen the party, it will benefit the party at large; he needs no green signal to take state tour, Mr. Singh said.
“Mr. Yediyurappa is a tall leader of BJP; if he embarks state tour, party workers will be delighted, party-state leadership will seek his guidance in coming days,” Mr. Singh added.
Acknowledging the good governance of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Mr. Singh said that the Chief Minister is doing good work soon after he takes an oath. His pro-people administration has been widely appreciated. Party will face 2024 Assembly elections under his leadership, said BJP in charge.
A two-day BJP state executive meeting will be held in Davangere, party will discuss the strategy to face the 2024 Assembly elections.
Taking a dig at Opposition leader Siddaramaiah for his remarks for demolition of the temple, Mr. Singh said that instead of talking about temples, Mr. Siddaramaiah talking about Masjids, BJP will construct temples and not demolish them, he added.
