Five of a family found dead in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Five members, including a nine-month-old boy, were found dead in a Bydarahalli police station limits in Bengaluru on Friday night. 

Deceased are identified as Bharathi, Sinchana, Sindhoora, Madhusagar, all were committed suicide; police said that the deceased family belongs to city-based Journalist Hualgere Shankar, who runs a monthly tabloid. 

Police said that Shankar had returned home after four days, he found all five were died by hanging on the ceiling fan. Police have registered the case. Family members have allegedly committed suicide four-five days back; the bodies were decomposed state. 

Reasons for suicide yet to be ascertained; Shankar has blamed his wife for instigating two daughters and son to commit suicide, police have said that family disputes led had led all members to commit suicide. Police are searching for a suicide note and enquired neighbors for more details; even neighbors have also not aware of the incident. A nine-month-old baby died due to hunger, police said. 

Shankar’s family residing in a multi-storied building, ground flour house was given to rent. Shankar and his wife were staying in first flour along with her daughter Sindhurani; she committed suicide by hanging on a ceiling fan, her mother Bharathi was found dead hanging from the ceiling. On the second floor, which has three separate rooms, elder daughter Sinchana and Madhusagar were found dead in separate rooms on the second floor.

Meanwhile, family head Shankar has filed a complaint against his wife Bharathi, stated that he has gifted his property to his wife and daughters. He has differences with his wife for not sending daughters to their in-law's house. Even he has refused to give permission for his son to start a business.
