New Delhi:  Directorate of Estates has evicted Lok Sabha MP and son of former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan from the bungalow allotted to his late father.

The Directorate of Estates, which comes under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has sent carrier vehicles to transport the belongings of Paswan who was overstaying in Bungalow since 2020.

The Bungalow located situated at 12 Janpath Road, just two doors down from Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's residence, is earmarked for Union Ministers. Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs asked Chirag Paswan to vacate the premises in October 2020.

The team of the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs vacated the belongings of Chirag Paswan.

The house has been the official address of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) in Delhi and was used for all the official events and organizational meetings of the party.

Following the death of Ram Vilas Paswan, the party he founded has also split, following differences between his son and brother Pashupati Kumar Paras.
