Jagdish Thakor appointed Gujarat Congress chief
The party appreciated the contribution of outgoing PCC President, Amit Chavda. Chavda was one of the youngest presidents of the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee.
New Delhi: Ahead of Gujarat Assembly elections in 2022, Congress President has appointed Jagdish Thakor, former Member of Parliament of Patan Loksabha, as the President of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee, on Friday.
Jagdish Thakor is a former Member of the Legislative Assembly, Gujarat. He represented Patan Loksabha from 2009–2014.
"Congress president has appointed Shri Jagdish Thakor as the President, Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee, with immediate effect," an official statement from the party said on Friday.
"The party appreciates the contributions of outgoing PCC President, Shri Amit Chavda," AICC general secretary KC Venugopal said in the statement.
