Mumbai: DG Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Monday ordered vigilance section to mark probe into the alleged pay-offs to NCB officer Sameer Wankhede in cruise ship drug case.

"A report from DDG SWR was received by our DG, he has marked an enquiry to vigilance section ...Chief Vigilance officer will be dealing with the enquiry appropriately... Enquiry has just begun, not right to comment on any officer, " Gyaneshwar Singh, DDG NCB told news agency ANI on allegations against Sameer Wankhede. 

"Independent witness through affidavit circulated some facts on social media. Taking that into cognizance, DG NCB has ordered vigilance to mark probe. Further course to be decided as per evidence, " said Gyaneshwar Singh, DDG NCB, whine asked whether Sameer Wankhede who is probing will be removed from the post.

In a major twist in the cruise ship drug case involving Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, one of the witnesses on Sunday alleged collusion and pay-offs against the Narcotics Control Bureau's (NCB) senior officer Sameer Wankhede and alleged private investigator KP Gosavi. 

Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik said, "Two cases are open and not even one arrest has been made in a year. People were being called and money was being collected from them. False cases were being raised. If probed, there will be more revelations. We will demand CM for this (SIT probe)".
