Date of resumption of international flights to be notified in due course

New Delhi: Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Wednesday said it would notify its decision in due course on the date of resumption of scheduled commercial international passengers airline services to/from India.

A note from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation today read: "In view of the merging global scenario... the situation is being watched closely in consultation with all stakeholders and an appropriate decision indicating the effective date of resumption of scheduled commercial international passenger services shall be notified in due course".

After a high-level meeting over the emergence of new coronavirus variant, the Union home ministry said the decision on the effective date of the resumption of scheduled commercial international passengers service will be reviewed as per the evolving global scenario, indicating that the date of December 15 might be changed.
Also, the Centre has already revised the guidelines for international arrivals. Delhi, Karnataka which receive a number of international fliers have urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ban the entry of passengers from the affected countries.
