Mumbai Police Officers Caught ‘Planting’ Drugs On Man In Viral CCTV Clip, Suspended
Four personnel of the Mumbai Police were suspended on Saturday after a viral CCTV clip allegedly showed them planting drugs on a man during a raid. A senior police officer said that a sub-inspector and three constables of the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Terror Cell have been placed under suspension with immediate effect., pending further inquiry.
A CCTV footage went viral on social media showing four plain-clothed police officers conducting a raid in Kalina area of Mumbai city. During the raid, one of the officers can be seen slipping something in the hip pocket of the suspect, later identified as Daniel.
A PTI report, citing sources, said the four policemen, attached to the Anti-Terror Cell of the Khar police station, raided an open plot of land in Kalina area of the city on Friday evening and detained a man called Daniel.
