New Delhi: Elections strategist Prashant Kishor stated that the Congress protest over Uttar Pradesh Lakhimpur Kheri violence will not help the quick revival of the grand old party.

In a tweet, Prashant Kishor said, “ People looking for a quick, spontaneous revival of GOP (Grand Old Party) led opposition based on Lakhimpur Keri incident are setting themselves up for a big disappointment. Unfortunately, there are no quick-fix solutions to the deep-rooted problems and structural weakness of the GOP.

Mr.Kishor was referred about detentions and arrest of top Congress leaders protesting against Lakhimpur Kheri violence. Speculations in the Congress was doing rounds since many months that the election strategist would join the grand old party.

Congress is facing severe criticisms from its G23 members for party structural collapse for not holding elections for President post and not calling Congress Working Committee members.

Moreover, leaders who have loyal to the Gandhi family left the party has worried the party. However, Congress top leaders Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi has made an all-out attack against the Yogi Adityananth government for killing four farmers who peacefully taking out a protest march in Lakhimpur Kheri.
