Intense rain very likely to occur in Ratnagiri, Thane, Palghar: IMD
Mumbai: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Mumbai forecast moderate to intense spells of rain are very likely to occur at isolated places in districts of Solapur, Ratnagiri, Thane, Palghar, Ahmednagar, Jalgaon, Nasik, Dhule during the next 3-4 hours.
Also, the possibility of thunder/lightning accompanied with gusty winds in some areas are predicted.
BN Patil, District Collector, Ratnagiri said, "IMD predicted heavy rainfall till September 8 in Ratnagiri yesterday [Monday]. District administration advises citizens to remain alert We advise people in danger zones to shift to safe places. I appeal to people to not travel near landslide-prone areas."
Heavy Rainfall Warnings on September 7th:
North Konkan: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at a few places with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places.
South Konkan: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at a few places.
