Karnataka: Newly appointed Council of Ministers to take oath today
Bengaluru: The Newly Appointed Council of Ministers of the Karnataka Government led by Basavaraj Bommai will be sworn in on Wednesday at 2-15 PM at the Glass House of Raj Bhavan.
Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot will be administering Oath of Office and Secrecy to the new Council of Ministers.
Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai said, " We'll get the official council of ministers list who will take oath at Raj Bhavan. The ceremony will take place at 2.15 pm at Raj Bhavan".
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai returned to Bengaluru with the final list of ministers after deliberation with the party chief JP Nadda. Both the Chief Minister and central party leaders have worked the permutation and combination, considering regions and castes. Yet, the chief minister hasn't released the final list of ministers leaving everyone guessing.
According to a private news channel, the chief minister has called 28 ministers to the oath-taking ceremony. Some of them include 'Bombay Friends' - a team of rebel Congress leaders who had joined the BS Yediyurappa Cabinet.
The new chief minister has relieved advisors and BJP legislators appointed to key advisory positions in the chief minister's office by his predecessor BS Yediyurappa and his three deputy chief ministers.
