Nanda Cariappa approves biopic on Field Marshal KM Cariappa

Air Marshal KC Nanda Cariappa has approved the biopic on his late father the legendary Field Marshal KM Cariappa. This was disclosed by Kannada actor Prem who is playing the role of KM Cariappa in the upcoming biopic.
The budget of the film is estimated at between Rs.400-500 crores. Dr.Raghavendra who is directing Prem's 25th film Premam Poojyam will be directing the biopic. The director and actor who were in Madikeri spoke the media there about the film.
The director met the 83-year-old Air Marshal Nanda Cariappa in Mumbai recently and sought his permission for the biopic on his father. He agreed to it, the film maker said in the press meet. The director claimed that this will be the first 'pan world' film being made and not just a 'pan India' film that is the current craze.
He said that the film is being made for an international audience as it has a universal appeal and a subject and story. With the current estimated budget it will also become the most expensive film to be made in India and not just in Kannada.
The film is expected to be made over two years. The director said since it is a film spanning many decades and involved lots of historical scenes to be recreated, they have set a reasonable timeframe of two years to complete the film.
