Bengaluru: Following two Omicron virus found in the state, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has rushed to Bengaluru from Delhi, called an emergency meeting with Covid technical committee members to combat the Covid-19 virus.

In the meeting, the government will issue fresh guidelines to combat Omicron including compulsory RTPCR test for domestic passengers also those who enter the state from neighbouring states.

The revenue minister, Health and Family minister, chief secretary, development commissioner, BBMP chief commissioner, principal secretary of Health and Family welfare department, Principal secretary of medical education and senior bureaucrats will attend the meeting.

Speaking to reporters in Delhi, the Chief Minister said that two-person in Karnataka have been infected with the Omicron virus, the government will take all necessary measures to combat the virus. Even the Centre has said that there is no need to worry about the virus since it is less dangerous than the Delta virus. After conducting a meeting with all stakeholders fresh guidelines will be issued, Mr. Bommai said.
