PMK leader booked for intimidating 'Jai Bhim' lead actor Suriya

Chennai: Tamil actor Suriya, the lead actor in recently released 'Jai Bhim' movie, has been provided police security following threats by Paattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) party worker.
PMK district secretary Mr. Palanisamy has announced a reward of Rs 1 Lakh to anyone who attacks the actor. Palanisamy has been booked by Police under various sections, according to reports.
The PMK worker threatened the actor over purported projection of the Vanniyar community in poor light in the movie Jai Bhim.
Recently, PMK leader and Rajya Sabha MP Anbumani raised questions about the movie alleging the Vanniyar has been shown in poor light in the movie. Suriya in turn had responded by denying the allegations.
Suriya said: "Neither my team, nor I have ever harboured any intention at any point in time to insult any individual or community as mentioned by you in your letter. I hope you are aware that corrections were carried out as soon as some people pointed out mistakes."
