Uttar Pradesh Elections 2022: Exodus of OBC MLAs from BJP continues
Quitting of ruling bjp MLAs continues in Uttar Pradesh, interestingly all who deserted BJP were belongs to Other Backward Classes.
Lucknow: Exodus of BJP MLAs to Samajwadi Party is continued in Uttar Pradesh, 7th BJP MLA and backward cast leader Mukesh Verma quit the party and likely to join SP.
Mukesh Verma, a staunch follower of Swamy Prasad Maurya, termed that his leader is a champion of the oppressed. Interestingly OBC leaders of the party are deserting the ruling BJP and embracing Samajwadi Party.
Mukesh Verma, MLA from Firozabad in Western Uttar Pradesh. With quitting of Mr. Verma, a total of seven MLAs of the ruling BJP has resigned to the party and joining to SP just 30 days prior to crucial Assembly elections.
All OBC leaders who quit the Saffron party blamed the Yogi Adityanath government for neglecting OBCs, SC, STs and youths.
"The BJP government in the past five years did not pay any attention to Dalits, backward castes and minorities and disrespected people's representatives," Mr Verma wrote in his resignation letter.
“The Yogi Adityanath government has oppressed Dalits, backward castes. Farmers, unemployed youth and small and medium industries. Because of these policies, I am quitting the party. Swami Prasad Maurya is the voice of the oppressed and our leader. I am with him," the MLA said
