Remarkable weapon found in ancient texas cave

Archaeologists have made a remarkable discovery in a remote cave within Texas' Big Bend National Park: an ancient hunting kit that may represent the oldest intact weapon system in North America.
Key Findings:
-
Hunting Tools: The cave contained components such as dart nock ends designed for use with an atlatl (a spear-throwing device), a straight-flying boomerang, stone-tipped foreshafts, hardwood foreshafts possibly used for poison delivery, and a partial atlatl. While some items were incomplete, enough pieces were found to reconstruct their original forms.
-
Additional Artifacts: Researchers also uncovered human feces and a folded pronghorn hide with intact hair, estimated to be around 6,000 years old.
Byron Schroeder, director of the Center for Big Bend Studies, described the find as "monumental," offering valuable insights into the lives of early inhabitants of the region.
