Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit deletes Twitter account as she assumes charge as JNU Vice-chancellor

New Delhi: Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, from Savitribai Phule Pune University, has been appointed as the Vice-chancellor of the country's premier institute Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
Netizens are divided over the appointment of Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit as VC.
Soon after her appointment, The Wire published a story claiming her proximity with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The article claimed that she backed calls for genocide and attacks on students and farmers in the recent past.
Also, it is being debated that the newly appointed VC has now deleted her Twitter account after journalists started sharing her tweets.

Prof. Santishree has a Doctorate – PhD in International Relations for a thesis on “ PARLIAMENT AND FOREIGN POLICY IN INDIA – THE NEHRU YEARS “, from – Jawaharlal Nehru University, School of International Relations, New Delhi – 1990. And Post-doctoral Diploma in Peace and Conflict studies – Uppsala University, Sweden, 1996.
She was born in St.Petersberg, Russia [ formerly Leningrad, USSR]
Her father [Late] Dr Dhulipudi Anjaneyulu was an author and journalist and a retired civil servant. Mother [Late] Prof. Mulamoodi Adilakshmi was a Professor of Tamil and Telugu at the Leningrad Oriental Faculty Department [USSR].
