Schools reopen for class 9, 10 & PUC in Karnataka, Bommai interacts
Bengaluru: Schools reopened on Monday for classes 9-12 in districts with less than 2 per cent COVID positivity rates in Karnataka.
CM Basavaraj Bommai interacted with students at Government Pre University College in Malleshwaram Schools in the state have reopened for classes 9-12. Ministers BC Nagesh, Dr Ashwathnarayan CN accompanied the chief minister on the school reopening day.
Also, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said, the government is launching the New Education Policy (NEP) in the state.

Also, the chief minister has asked his Cabinet colleagues to visit the campuses to encourage teachers and students. As per SOPs released by the Karnataka State Government, parents and staff must be vaccinated before entering the campuses. Karnataka School reopening will take place today with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
Yesterday CM tweeted, "Children of classes 9, 10 and PUC get back to their schools and colleges from tomorrow. I urge my cabinet colleagues to visit the campuses in their districts, encourage students, teachers and review the preventive measures taken for the safe conduct of physical classes."
The Chief Minister further added, "We have taken all precaution. And instructed school officials to take at most care. Some parents are naturally worried about COVID. But state government has done everything possible."
