55 per cent turnout in Uttar Pradesh 6th phase voting
Uttar Pradesh on Thursday voted for the 6th phase of the assembly election in 57 constituencies across 10 districts. The counting of votes for all 403 assembly seats in the state will be conducted on March 10.
Lucknow: In the sixth phase of polling for 57 seats spread across ten districts in Uttar Pradesh, 55 % turnout was recorded.
Uttar Pradesh on Thursday voted for the 6th phase of the assembly election in 57 constituencies across 10 districts, with the chief minister and BJP leader Yogi Adityanath, Congress' Ajay Kumar Lallu, and Samajwadi Party's Swami Prasad Maurya among candidates in the fray. The final phase of voting will be held on March 7.
The districts where polling was held included Ambedkarnagar, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria, and Ballia.
Total 676 candidates are contesting in the sixth phase, Chief Minister Yogi Adityananth contested from Gorakhpur Urban constituencies.
Voters are coming out in large numbers to exercise their right to vote in the sixth phase of elections in UP.
