So far 10,300 Indians evacuated from war-hit Ukraine 

According to a foreign ministry statement, approximately 10,300 Indian people have been transported back in 48 planes so far as part of the evacuation mission. However, between 2,000 and 3,000 Indian people are trapped in war-torn Ukraine, with 700 trapped in Sumi and 300 in Kharkiv.

New Delhi: Indian Air Force (IAF) and Indian Airways have flown 10 flights to repatriate 2,056 Indian nationals who were stranded in war-torn Ukraine and also India transported 26 tonnes of humanitarian supplies to these countries as part of Operation Ganga.

On Saturday morning, an Indigo special flight on board 229  Indians landed at Delhi airport. The flight took off from Suceava in Romania.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Arindam Bagchi said the total number of Indians registered with the embassy in Kyiv has surpassed 20,000 and approximately

20,000 Indians have left the Ukraine’s border since its initial travel warning in mid-February. 
He said India has seen no action since it was revealed that Russia and Ukraine agreed on Thursday to the necessity for humanitarian corridors to help civilians from combat zones.
Indian embassy in Ukraine said that they were deeply engaged to ensure the safe evacuation of Indians from Kharkiv, including Pisochyn. It claimed that they have already successfully evacuated a vast majority from Kharkiv city. India will be organizing buses for evacuation from Pioschyn and the government will be paying the transportation charge. 
It is said that students in Sumi do not have enough food, water, and electricity and they were seen requesting the Indian government to rescue them first, as the government did not concentrate enough on them. One of the netizens claimed that in Pisochyn, the situation was getting worst and the city was witnessing heavy shelling and it was going on till morning.
