Team Brahmastra finishes shooting after five years
Apart from Ranbir and Alia, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.
Mumbai: Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukherjee, ended shooting after five years; production began in 2018, and the film is a trilogy; the first instalment will be released on September 9 this year. The film's lead actors are Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Ayan took to Instagram to share a note about his experience filming Brahmastra.
He wrote “And finally… It’s a Wrap! 5 years since we took our first shot on Brahmāstra, and we’ve finally filmed our last one! Absolutely incredible, challenging, once-in-a-lifetime journey!!!
Some hand of destiny that we finished the shoot of ‘Part One: Shiva’ in Varanasi - a city infused with the spirit of Shiv Bhagwan, and that too at the most sacred Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, allowing us to finish in an atmosphere of purity, joy and blessings Exciting days ahead, last lap ahead! 09.09.2022 - Here we come !.”

As the film's journey comes to an end, Alia Bhatt has shared numerous images and videos alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukherjee. "We started shooting in 2018," she wrote.
