Third round of talks between Russia-Ukraine ‘inconclusive’

Following the third rounds of talks between Russia and Ukraine become inconclusive, the Fourth round of talks will be held in Turkey on Thursday. Meanwhile, Russia has created a humanitarian corridor for evacuation of the people from war torn Ukraine.

Kyiv: The third round of talks between Russia and Ukraine also not reached any consensus for a ceasefire. However, Ukraine said that third-round talks will bring some positive results, but Russia said that talks are failed.

Ukraine's Presidential advisor said that small progress was made in the third round of negotiations on the opening of evacuation corridors. But Moscow’s negotiator Vladimir Medinsky said that talks were not fruitful.

The fourth round of talks will be held in Turkey on Thursday. Meanwhile, Russia warned that oil prices could surge to 300 dollars per barrel and it contemplating closing the main pipeline to Germany if the West halts oil imports over the invasion of Ukraine.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy alleged that Russia is abstracting the evacuation process through humanitarian corridors by deploying tanks, rocket launchers, and mines.

The United States and its allies at a UN meeting urged Russia to allow safe passage for civilians stuck in areas of active hostility. China on Monday promised humanitarian aid to Ukraine, but said that its friendship with Russia will be undeterred.

Tens of thousands are still trapped without water or power in the southern port of Mariupol after two failed evacuation attempts.
