Tipu was secular ruler: Siddaramaiah
BJP has opposed the celebration of Tipu Jayanti, soon after BSY came to power in 2019 he ordered for cancellation of Tipu Jayanti celebration
Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that without giving importance to political motivated misinformation, one should study the Tipu rule based on facts.
On the occasion of Tipu Jayanti, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah tweeted that we should study the Tipu rule by fact-based history and distorted version, he tweeted.
Tipu Sultan was the erstwhile ruler of Mysuru has fought against the British, Mr. Siddaramaiah said that Tipu was a secular ruler.
Ruling BJP has cancelled the celebration of Tipu Jayanti, soon after it came to power in 2019, the BSY government has ordered for cancellation of Tipu Jayanti.
Tipu Sultan led a crusade against British - he was also good administrator, and won the hearts of people through his secular acts.
