Tokyo Olympics: Deepika Kumari crashes out in quarterfinals

Tokyo: In another heart-breaking exit, the world's number one archer Deepika Kumari lost to South Korea's An San 0-6 in the quarterfinal match at the Tokyo Olympics on Friday.

Earlier, Deepika Kumari won a thrilling shoot-off against former world champion Ksenia Perova of the Russian Olympic Committee to move to the women's quarterfinals in the pre-quarterfinals.

The South Korean, World No 1, had an occasional stutter or two, but Deepika surrendered 6-0, losing all three sets without much fight. She hit four 7s during the match and against a world-class archer that was too much to give away, according to report.
