First phase of elections is underway in UP for 58 seats. First phase elections is more crucial for ruling party in 2017 Assembly elections, party won 53 out of 58 seats in Western UP.

Hours before first phase of elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityananth said that if voters‘makes a mistake’ state will become ‘Kashmir, Kerala or West Bengal’

Urging voters not to make a mistake and vote for BJP, he appealed the voters.

First phase of elections in UP is underway for 58 seats of 11 districts in Western UP.

Mr. Yogi Adityanath promised the voters a guarantee of fear-free-life in the state. If voters makes a mistake, state will become another Kashmir, Kerala or Bengal.

"I have to tell you something that is there in my heart. A lot of wonderful things have happened in these five years. Beware! If you miss, the labour of these five years will be spoiled. It would not take much time for Uttar Pradesh to become Kashmir, Kerala and Bengal," Yogi Adityanath said in the video.

626 candidates in fray in first phase: Elections will be held to 58 Assembly constituenceis in first phase and 623 candidates are in fray in which 73 women candidates. Total polling stations: 10,853, Total polling booths 26,027.  Total 2.28 voters will cast their votes in first phase of polls. In which 1.24 male and 1.04 female voters.

"New UP ka naya nara, vikaas hi vichardhara bane (New slogan of a new UP. Let development be the philosophy)," he said.
UP become 'Uttam Pradesh', says BJP chief JP Nadda: "This is your opportunity to make Uttar Pradesh a prosperous and progressive state. I urge everyone to come out and vote. Uttar Pradesh's residents have seen the state become 'Uttam Pradesh'. You have seen the government that strengthened the administration here," says BJP chief JP Nadda.
