US warns Russia for its aggressive moves against Ukraine
Russia-Ukraine tension which has triggered one of the greatest security crises in Europe since the Cold War, started ever since Moscow seized Crimea, a strategically important port region in Ukraine – in 2014.
Tensions between Ukraine and Russia have escalated further due to Russia’s decision to station over 130,000 troops near the Ukrainian border
Meanwhile the Biden Administration has warned Russia for severe consequences in case it invade Ukraine.
Russia has denied any plans to invade Ukraine despite the build-up of 130,000 soldiers on Ukraine's borders.
But with the US saying Moscow could begin with aerial bombardments "at any time" more than a dozen nations have urged their citizens to leave Ukraine. US has insisted for diplomatic solution to the crisis.
“We are actively working to reach a diplomatic solution to de-escalate the crisis. Over the weekend, as you all know, the President spoke with President Putin, and we remain engaged with the Russian government in full coordination with our allies and partners, White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters.
We are clear-eyed about the prospects of that, given the steps Russia is taking on the ground, she said, as President Joe Biden reached out to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to discuss the situation. The leaders discussed their recent diplomatic engagements with Ukraine and Russia, said the White House in a readout.

The United States has informed its citizens in the country to leave within 48 hours amid signs of Russia escalation. The United States is also set to evacuate its embassy in Kyiv as Western intelligence officials warn that a Russian invasion of Ukraine is increasingly imminent.
