Uttar Pradesh Elections 2022: Shiv Sena to fight polls independently
"Shiv Sena will also participate if there is any movement in Mathura," added Raut.
Lucknow: Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena, a coalition partner of Congress and NCP in Maharashtra, to fight independently in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections.
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, who is in Uttar Pradesh, said that the party wants a change in the state, but without an alliance with Samajwadi Party.
Raut said, "Shiv Sena will not be part of any alliance in UP. We have ideological differences with Samajwadi Party but we want a change in the state. We have been working for a long time in UP but didn't contest elections because we didn't want to hurt BJP."
"Shiv Sena will also participate if there is any movement in Mathura," added Raut.
Sharad Pawar's NCP, Sena's partner in Maharashtra, has formed an alliance with Akhilesh Yadav's SP. Sena wants to content on 50-100 seats in Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
