Venkaiah Naidu launches 'Vaccinate India Programme' in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu launched 'Vaccinate India Programme at Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru. The programme was organised by Give India Foundation and Sustainable Goals Coordination Centre, under CSR, in association with Planning Department of the Karnataka government.
Venkaiah Naidu appealed to people to strictly follow COVID-19 norms for curbing the spread of the pandemic. He ietrated that vaccination is the most effective shield against COVID-19.
Naidu said, "COVID recovery rate in the country has reached 97.6% and the number of infections has substantially declined. But, there is absolutely no room for complacency... We cannot afford to lower our guard"

"I am happy to learn that vaccines for children are in the pipeline," said Naidu.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said it is the responsibility of the government to provide vaccination to weaker sections of society. He urged donors and entrepreneurs to donate funds under CSR to fight the pandemic.
Governor Thawarchand Gehlot, Health and Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar, Muniratna, BJP MP PC Mohan were present.
