Bengaluru: Vinay Rajkumar, son Raghavendra Rajkumar will perform last rites of Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar at Kantterava Stadium.
Family members of the Rajkumar family has taken a decision on this regard. Since Puneeth has two daughters, family members have decided to perform last rites by his elder brother’s son Vinay Rajkumar. Last rites will be performed on Idiga community tradition, his mortal remain will be buried according to family tradition, family sources said.
The state government has finalized the place of his last rites, which is just adjacent to the memorials of his father Kannada icon Dr Rajkumar and mother Parvathamma Rajkumar.
Home Minister Araga Jnanendra said proper security arrangements have been made for the procession of the mortal remains of Puneeth Rajkumar. Over 20,000 police have been deputed for the last rites of departed Kannada star actor and two police platoons have also been arranged and over 1500 additional police have been summoned from the districts, the minister said.
The home minister requested the people to maintain calm and peace. Bengaluru Police Commissioner Kamalpanth has visited the Kanteerava Stadium where the last rites of Puneeth will take place.
Police have already finalized the roots for the procession march of mortal remains of Puneeth Rajkumar, Mr. Panth said.
