Mumbai: The hitman of Indian cricket, Rohit Sharma can become a better Test captain than the previous skipper, Virat Kohli, said former India batsman Wasim Jaffer.
He praised Rohit Sharma’s captaincy skills, saying that he can become a better Test captain than run machine Virat Kohli. He said that he doesn’t know how many Test matches he will captain the side, but tactically I feel he is one of the best captains and we are witnessing the results, how they have cleaned up each series and added that he believes that captaincy has come into the hands of the right person.

With the victory over the Lankans, India moved up to fourth place in the World Test Championship standings. The next Test match between India and England will take place in July of this year. Both teams will compete in the fifth Test of the series, which was supposed to conclude last year.
Rohit played 45 matches and amassed 3,127 runs at an average of 46.13. His best was 212 and he scored eight- centuries and 14 half-centuries. Rohit led India in two tests, and India won those two tests.
Rohit was named Test captain earlier this year, after Kohli, who stepped down following the South Africa tour. The Mumbai batsman will be seen in action in the upcoming IPL, as he will be captaining the Mumbai Indians. The first match of the MI is on March 27 against the Delhi Capitals.
