Bengaluru: Rishi Kapoor, the late Bollywood actor, makes his final on-screen appearance in the forthcoming Sharmaji Namkeen. On Thursday, the first trailer for the film was released. Paresh Rawal completed the segments of the film that remained unfinished after Rishi's death in 2020. Both actors play Sharmaji in the film.
The film is about middle-class man Sharmaji, who has recently retired and was in search of a new hobby to pick up. His sons advise him to attend driving classes or try learning Zumba or yoga. Sharma, who has a natural talent for cooking, meets some women looking for a cook for their Satsang event. Sharma was upset after learning that the event was not a Satsang but a kitty party. Sharmaji quickly develops a connection with the women. Juhi Chawla also appears in this movie.

The film also stars Isha Talwar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha, and Suhail Nayyar. It is directed by Hitesh Bhatia, and the film is scheduled for release on March 31.
Rishi Kapoor died in Mumbai on April 30, 2020, following a long battle with leukaemia. He was 67.
Rishi Kapoor was born in Mumbai, India, to legendary actors Raj Kapoor and Krishna Kapoor. At the young age of three, he made his film debut in Shree 420. Mera Naam Joker, directed by Raj Kapoor, was his first film. He rose to prominence with RK Productions' Bobby, which was a smash hit at the time.
Rishi Kapoor was a renowned actor from the 1970s through the 1990s, appearing in films such as Karz, Amar Akbar Anthony, Chandni, and Coolie, among many others. In his later years, he was recognised for his supporting roles in films such as Agneepath, Hum Tum, and Kapoor & Sons.
