The Police have arrested three people in connection with the app that shared photos of more than 100 Muslim women saying they were on "sale".

Guwahati: Delhi Police’s Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations Unit (IFSO) special cell arrested 'mastermind',  from Assam in connection with 'Bulli Bai' app case on Thursday.  This is the fourth arrest in the case. 

According to DCP (IFSO) KPS Malhotra, Neeraj Bishnoi, arrested from Assam is the app's chief conspirator and creator on GitHub, as well as the app's main Twitter account holder.

KPS Malhotra said to news agency ANI, "Neeraj Bishnoi, arrested from Assam by Delhi Police Special Cell's IFSO team, is the main conspirator and creator of 'Bulli Bai' on GitHub and the main Twitter account holder of the app. He is being brought to Delhi."

"Neeraj Bishnoi is a resident of Digambar area of Assam's Jorhat. He is a BTech student of Vellore Institute of Technology, Bhopal," added DCP Malhotra

The Mumbai Police have arrested three people in connection with the app that shared photos of more than 100 Muslim women saying they were on "sale". Several Muslim women found themselves on 'auction' on the 'Bulli Bai' app on January 1.

The deplorable app hosted by the GitHub platform used Muslim women's photographs, many of them doctored.
