Chhattisgarh crisis: CM Bhupesh Baghel, party MLAs to meet Rahul Gandhi today
New Delhi: Amid a deepening political crisis in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Congress MLAs are likely to meet Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday.
Bhupesh Baghel will meet with Rahul Gandhi for the second time this week. He is bringing Congress MLAs to Delhi for a show of strength in an escalating leadership crisis in the state.
Bhupesh Baghel said, "I received a message from KC Venugopal that I have to meet Rahul Ji in Delhi today, so I am going there to meet party high command".

"I have been called to Delhi, that's why I am going…Why can't people meet their leader? Some people have gone without invitation", Bhagel Said.
According to reports, Baghel's cabinet colleague, TS Singh Deo, who has demanded a rotational chief ministership, is in Delhi. Apparently, Deo agreed to stand down in 2018 and settle for a ministry job as Bhupesh Baghel took over as Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh.
Chhattisgarh Minister Amarjeet Bhagat in Delhi, said, "Only when the team is not doing well, it is required to change the captain of the team. Bhupesh Baghel is doing very well in the state".
Meanwhile, Congress MLAs from Chhattisgarh have reached the residence of Chhattisgarh Congress in charge PL Punia in Delhi. The MLAs will put forth our views before the party high command.
