Delhi likely to report around 10,000 COVID cases today: Satyendar Jain
The Delhi government has taken a slew of measures to curb the spread of COVID.
New Delhi: Delhi is likely to report around 10,000 COVID infections on Wednesday despite strict measures to curb infections in Delhi, according to the state government.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said, "Delhi is likely to report around 10,000 COVID infections today, with the daily positivity rate rising to nearly 10 per cent. The third wave of COVID-19 has set in."
"Delhi Government has instructed private hospitals to increase the number of reserved beds for COVID patients to 40 per cent from 10 per cent of their capacity. Nearly 2 per cent of beds are occupied in the government hospitals," added the minister.

The Delhi government has taken a slew of measures to curb the spread of COVID.
1. Weekend curfew
2. 100 per cent government offices to work from home except for essential Departments
3. Private office to run with 50 per cent capacity
4. Buses and Metros to run on 100 per cent seating capacity to avoid congestion, wearing a mask is mandatory.
