Delhi LG agrees to 50 per cent attendance in private offices, weekend curfew continues
Delhi on Thursday recorded 12,306 fresh Covid-19 cases, a decrease from the number of infections detected on the previous day, according to the city health department.
New Delhi: The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Anil Baijal, has agreed to 50 per cent attendance in private offices based on Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's recommendations on Friday. However, he rejected the government’s proposal to lift weekend curfew in the national capital and ease COVID-19 restrictions.
In the proposal, CM Arvind Kejriwal asked to remove the odd-even system in the markets and allow private offices to operate at 50 per cent capacity. Also, Kejriwal sent a recommendation to end the weekend curfew.
Lieutenant Governor has agreed to 50 per cent attendance in private offices. But, he suggested that the status quo be maintained regarding weekend curfew and opening of markets and decisions be taken on the subject once the COVID situation improves further, reported news agency ANI.
