Dia Mirza's Twitter account misses ‘blue tick’ despite subscription, actor asks ‘why?’
Bollywood actor and environmentalist Dia Mirza on Sunday took to micro-blogging platform Twitter to point out that despite buying the Twitter blue subscription, the actor does not have the ‘blue tick’ marker beside her name.
Dia Mirza said, "Have had a verified Twitter account since 2010. Despite subscription well before the verified ticks started disappearing on accounts this account doesn’t seem to have a blue tick yet. Why?"
“All other advantages of being a subscriber seem to be working, including the option of longer tweets. Can you please look into this @Twitter @TwitterBlue and help?" Mirza added.
Elon Musk's Twitter had removed legacy blue ticks for Twitter accounts and made the susbscription model mandatory since April 2023. This means anyone who can pay for the blue ticks will continue to enjoy the benefits and facilties of the same.
Reacting to the tweet by Dia Mirza, a person asked, "If you’ve changed your profile pic it’ll take a week or so for the blue tick to reappear." She replied, "Have not changed profile picture."
