FIR against Narayan Rane for objectionable comment against Uddhav Thackeray

Mumbai: Shiv Sena Nashik Chief has filed a complaint on Monday that Union Minister Narayan Rane's statement against Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has hurt their sentiment.

Deepak Pandey, Nashik Police Commissioner, said, "An FIR registered at Nashik Cyber Police Station keeping in mind law and order situation in the state".

Nashik Police Commissioner said, "This is a serious matter. A team has been dispatched from here for coercive action against the Union Minister. He will be presented before the court at whatever location he's at. We will abide by the decision of the court".

Also, an FIR was registered under section 153 and 505 of IPC against Union Minister Narayan Rane at Chaturshringi Police Station of Pune city, following a complaint by Yuva Sena, for using objectionable language against CM Uddhav Thackeray.

A team of Pune city Police has left for Chiplun in Ratnagiri as part of the investigation in FIR registered in Pune against Union Minister Narayan Rane.

However, Union Minister Narayan Rane said he has no information that an FIR has been registered against him.

Rane said, "I am not a common man. I have not committed any crime. Is it not a crime if someone doesn't know about 15th August? I had said that I would have slapped - these were the words & it's not a crime".

Rane, during his Jan Ashirwad Yatra in Raigad district on Monday, said,"It is shameful that the chief minister does not know the year of independence. He leaned back to enquire about the count of years of independence during his speech. Had I been there, I would have given (him) a tight slap".
