Ind Vs Sri Lanka 1st test: Jadeja's century helps India to sets huge target

On the first day, with the help of Rishabh Pant’s slammed 96 runs in 97 balls, with 9 boundaries and four sixes, Ravindra Jadeja, who was unbeaten on 45 at stumps on the first day, completed his 18th Test half-century in the first session of day two of the Test. Pant’s 96 runs helped India register 357 runs against the visitors.
Before his dismissal to fast bowler Suranga Lakmal, the left-hand wicket-keeper had stitched a 104 run partnership with Ravindra Jadeja. Both Jadeja and Ashwin looking good and playing comfortably against Sri Lankan bowlers on day two. India has surpassed the 400 mark in the first session of Day Two. India has scored 424 runs as the latest came in. Ashwin was playing on 41.
Right-handed batsman Hanuma Vihari also scored a half-century; it was his fifth. Virat Kohli, who is playing his 100th Test match has scored 45 in his milestone game. In his historic game, he surpassed the 8,000 run mark. He was sent back to the pavilion by Lasith Embuldeniya with a full ball.
Both Vihari and Kohli were dismissed in quick succession. Lasith Embuldeniya took two wickets. Lahiru Kumar, Suranga Lakmal, Vishwa Fernando, Dhanjeya Desilva took one wicket each.
