Indian student suffers bullet injury in Ukraine

Kyiv: After a Karnataka student lost his life in Kharkiv in a shelling incident, one more Indian student suffered bullet injuries in Kyiv and he has been admitted to a local hospital there.
Speaking to news agency ANI, Union Minister of State for Ministry of Civil Aviation General (Rtd) VK Singh confirmed this incident at Poland’s Rzeszow Airport. He said a student from Kyiv was reported to have suffered bullet injuries and he was shifted to a hospital. He also said that the Indian Embassy has already asked everyone to leave the city. "During war, the bullets from the gun do not look at anyone’s nationality or religion," he said.
In an urgent advisory, the Indian Embassy in Ukraine asked the students to leave Kharkiv, the second biggest city in war-torn Ukraine, immediately. The students were leaving the country, and they were reaching the borders of neighbouring countries to return to India.

On Wednesday, a Punjab student died following an ischemic stroke at a hospital in Vinnytsia. Chandan Jindal was admitted to the hospital’s ICU on February 2 following an ischemic stroke.
Karnataka’s Haveri student, Naveen Gyangoudar, who had gone to buy groceries in Kharkiv, perished in a shelling incident.
