New Delhi: Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu and party workers who are on their way to Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, were stopped at Haryana-(Saharanpur) UP border. They were taken to Sarsawa Police Station at Haryana-(Saharanpur) Uttar Pradesh border.

Priyanka Gandhi was placed under house arrest for over 30 hours at the Sitapur guest house. On her release, she visited Lakhimpur Kheri to meet the bereaved families of the four farmers who were killed during a protest on October 3. She demanded the resignation of Union Minister Ajay Mishra and the arrest of his son Ashish Mishra in connection to the incident.
"Justice is a right in a democracy. I will continue my fight for justice. All the affected families I met yesterday demanded justice. The Union minister needs to resign to ensure an unbiased investigation,", she told reporters after meeting with family members.
Four farmers were killed on Sunday even after SUV ran over protesting farmers. The horrifying video surfaced on social media that an SUV ran over the farmers.
